The first step to painting light digitally is to observe how it works in real life.
In this lesson, Aveline takes you through several examples of cool movie stills, breaking the light dynamics in each one and explaining the principles of how it all works. She discusses ambient and basic color, diffuse and direct light sources and reflections on various materials.
Watch how Aveline breaks down and analyzes several movie stills and other pictures in terms of lighting and shading, as well as explains the theoretical concepts like: Diffused light, Direct light and more.
